Coppa Aperta Piantana, floor lamp by Ignazio Gardella & Corrado Corradi Dell’Acqua

Designed in 1954 by Ignazio Gardella and Corrado Corradi Dell’Acqua, Coppa Aperta transforms the ribbed industrial glass once used on Milan trams into a domestic lamp. The open prismatic diffuser rests within a restrained brass structure, spreading light softly across the surrounding wall and room. TATO re-edited the design in 2019.
