Quattrolati

Four identical sides make a square, a form with many stories. Josef Albers painted one inside another, Bauhaus exercises grouped squares in different settings, and the traditional Japanese house took the square as its module. Four points are enough to create a square. Quattrolati is made of hand-polished Carrara marble, its sides enclosing an empty space through which light spreads.
